Nanaimo and The Vancouver Island Conference Centre hosts the BC Nurse Practitioners 13th Annual Conference 2018
Nanaimo BC: The Vancouver Island Conference Centre welcomed the BC Nurse Practitioners Conference June 7-9, 2018.
The BC Nurse Practitioner Conference 2018 brought 200+ delegates together at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre utilizing the space for workshops, AGM, reception, plenaries & a gala. An exhibitor show took place in the Mt Benson C/D to showcase products, services and knowledge relating to BC Nurse Practitioners.
The BC Nurse Practitioners Conference was also held at the VICC in 2017 and the goal of the conference is to provide members with opportunities for professional growth and practice, to offer interesting and educational topics, and provide the opportunity to network with other Nurse Practitioners around the province.
The 3-day conference had delegates staying in downtown hotels such as the Coast Bastion Hotel & the Best Western Dorchester. Harbour Air kindly offered a discounted conference delegate rate to attendees who flew over from Vancouver. A Tourism Nanaimo booth was stationed at the conference to provide delegates with information on “What to Do” while in Nanaimo and many delegates took advantage of the activities, sights & scenery. The conference produced a positive economic impact for the City of Nanaimo of more than $250,000. As an overall, Brenda Ingram, Conference Coordinator gave the following testimonial:
